BY PLANE
The easiest way of travelling to the Olympos area is to book a flight to Thessaloniki, which is ca. 100 km and 1.5 – 2 hours drive from our village Neos Panteleimonas. Upon request we’ll organize airport pick-up and drop-off for you. Just let us know your flight details. Inexpensive flights can be booked via your local travel agent or via the Internet.
BY CAR
On a daily basis car ferry service is available via Ancona (Italy) to Igoumenitsa (Greece) with various ferry lines. The ferries are in good condition and for people who like to travel and have some extra time, are a good option. Inexpensive ferry tickets can be booked via your local travel agent or via the Internet.
The route is as follows:
Igoumenitsa – Ioannia – Trikala – Larissa – Katerini.
Neos Panteleimonas/Platamonas lies near the motorway ca. half way between Larissa and Katerini. The castle of Platamonas is a landmark which can not be missed. All street signs are also in English.
